A wildfire has broke out in southwest Reno, reported to have started around 1am today. The fire continues to spread now, and put the entire city in a state of emergency, leaving 1,000 people without power, and 9,000 voluntarily evacuating. The fire has been said to have started by natural strong desert winds. Firefighters have been dispatched and are aggressively fighting to stop the fire. Fire Chief Mike Hernandez says, "
We have crews leap frogging from one neighborhood to another... our biggest challenge is the wind, and it's not going to lie down anytime soon."
