Prince Charles is claiming that Vlad the Impaler is one of his ancestors. Vlad the Impaler was a cruel Romanian War Lord who inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula. Such a claim apparently gives the Prince a certain right to the land of Romania, saying this doesn't seem to be just for sentimental value. My question is, how does one even prove they re related to an ancient warlord... and if it is possible to prove it, maybe through genealogy searchers, why is it that they haven't found it out yet? My point is, this story seems to be more about claiming power, and gaining attention, then actually finding events to prove a family tree.
